• Usually found on driver's side door jam (6).
• Other Possible Locations: Firewall (2,3,4) Under driver's seat (5).

Audi & Volkswagen

• Usually found on back comportment panel (15).
• Other Possible Location: Under the dash (16).
• Code Examples: Almost always start with L such as L90D, LA6U, or LZ8U.

BMW & Mini

1997-2006

• Usually Found under the hood by the front of the strut tower (8).
• Other Possible Locations: Passenger's side Firewall (2), Front of strut (13), Wheel housing (20).
• Code Examples: Usually shown as 3-digit number such as 314, 668.  Could also have 1 letter in the begining such as A15, S12.

Before 1997

• Usually found on the front radiator support (10).
• Code Examples: Shown as 3-digit number such as 086, 282, 301.

Chrysler & Dodge

• Usually found Under the hood (9, 21) or Driver's side door jam (6).
• Code Examples: 3-digit code such as AC8, TX9, or PLD.

Daewoo

• Usually found on the firewall (3) or radiator support middle (10).
• Code Examples: Usually 3-digits.

Ford

• Usually found on the Driver's side doof jam (6).
• Code Examples: Listed above "Exterior Paint Codes", usually 2 digits such as K7, ZR, P1.

GM ( Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, GMC, Hummer, Pontiac, Saturn, Saab)

• Usually in the trunk, under the rug, on top of the spare tire, or underneath the trunk lid (15, 18).  Or for trucks, in the glove box.
• Code Examples:  Will usually be 4 numbers or 3 numbers and a letter starting with WA.  Sometimes WA will not appear, instead L or U, or bc or cc will be in front.  Examples are WA9567, WA721H. 

Hyundai

• Usually found on the Driver's side door jam (6).
• Other Possible Locations: Firewall (3), Under driver's seat (5), or radiator support middle (10).
• Code Examples: Usually 2 letters such as SB, AR, JT.

Infiniti & Nissan

• Usually found on the Driver's side door jam (6).
• Many other location include, Inner fender (1), Firewall (2,3,4), Under driver's seat (5), driver's side strut tower (8), radiator support middle (10), driver's side door front (14), and passenger's side radiator support (19).
• Code Examples: Usually 3-digits such as BK1, KK2, AX6.

Isuzu

• Usually found on the Driver's side door jam (6).
• Other Possible Locations: firewall (2, 3), or radiator support middle (10).
• Code Examples:Usually 3 or 4 digits such as 641, U303, R024.

Before 1997

• Check the firewall (2,4), or front strut tower (8).
• Code Examples: Usually 3 or 4 digits such as G78P, R103, W101.

Kia

• Usually found under the driver's seat (5), or driver's side door front (14).
• Code Examples: Usually 2 digits such as L2, 3G, EB.

Lamborghini

• Usually found on the firewall (2,3,4).

Land Rover

• Usually found on the driver's side door front (14).
• Other Possible Locations: firewall (2,3,4), radiator support (10,12,19). 
• Code Examples: Usually 3 digits such as 731 or LEL.

Mazda

• Usually found on driver's side door jam (6) or in front (14).
• Other Possible Locations: firewall (2,3), or in the trunk (15).

• Usually found on the driver's side door jam (6), or radiator support (10,12,19).

• Usualy found on the Strut tower (8), firewall (3) or under the dash.
• Code Examples: Usually 2, 3 or 4 digits such as L738, L12L, L92T

Before 1997

• Usually found on the front of the driver's side door (14).
